How to Submit or Track Your Austin Energy Rebate
In this article, you will learn how to submit your Austin Energy e-bike rebate application and how to track its status.

Documents you will need
MOD BIKES invoice (downloadable as PDF from your order confirmation email)

- Bike specification sheet. Download your model below:
Austin Energy or City of Austin Utilities account number (from your utility bill)
Your bike’s VIN number (engraved above the front fork or printed under the bottom bracket)
Preparation
Confirm that your electricity provider is Austin Energy or City of Austin Utilities (COA)
Verify that your application date is within 60 days of purchase or delivery
Ensure the name and address on your invoice match your utility account
Steps | Submit Your Austin Energy Rebate
Step 1: Go to the Austin Energy E-Bike Rebate Page
Step 2: Begin Your Application
Enter your account number, house number, and ZIP code, then click Next.
Enter your personal information and click Next.
Step 3: Add Your Bike Details
For each bike you are requesting a rebate for, fill in the following fields:
Quantity: 1 (repeat for multiple bikes)
Cost: Bike + tax only (exclude accessories)
Type: E-Bike: Two-Wheel (Sidecar not considered 3-wheel)
Manufacturer: MOD BIKES
Model: As shown on your invoice (e.g., MOD City+, MOD Easy, MOD Berlin, etc.)
VIN: Engraved on your frame or under the bottom bracket
Dealership: MOD BIKES
At the bottom of the form, confirm your rebate amount, then click Next.
Step 4: Upload Documents and Submit
- Upload your invoice and bike specification sheet(s).
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Review your information carefully.
Click Submit and save your enrollment number for future tracking.
Steps | Track Your Application Status
- Visit Austin Energy’s Rebate Status Check Page.
- Scroll down and click the green button → Check Status.
Enter your enrollment number and click Search.
⚠️ Note: Rebate checks typically arrive within 6–8 weeks. Please wait until this period has passed before contacting Austin Energy.
Troubleshooting
Can’t find invoice PDF → Search your order email for “Download PDF version” or email howdy@mod-bikes.com.
VIN hard to read → Check the barcode sticker under the bottom bracket.
Utility account mismatch → Ensure the name and address on your invoice match your Austin Energy account.
